How BreezyMenu collects, uses, and safeguards the information you and your guests share with us.
Introduction
BreezyMenu ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BreezyMenu platform, including our website, dashboard, and digital menu services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.
By using BreezyMenu, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and venue or business name.
Billing Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider acting as Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy collects and stores your payment details — we never receive or store your full card number. We retain only limited billing records, such as your billing email, country, selected plan, and invoice history, to manage your subscription and meet our tax and accounting obligations.
Menu Content
We store the menu data you create — including item names, descriptions, prices, images, and dietary tags — to provide the service.
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you and your guests interact with BreezyMenu, including page views, device type, browser, IP address, and referral source. This data helps us improve the product.
How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Process transactions and send related communications
- Send service updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud
- Comply with legal obligations
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with third parties only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — hosting and analytics partners that help us operate BreezyMenu, and Lemon Squeezy, our payment provider and Merchant of Record for paid subscriptions
- Legal requirements — when required by law, regulation, or legal process
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your account and menu data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@breezymenu.com.
Children's Privacy
BreezyMenu is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of BreezyMenu after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
